NECTIN4 (Nectin cell adhesion molecule 4) is a protein coding gene that encodes a member of the adaptor protein family. The encoded protein contains two immunoglobulin like (Ig like) C2 domains and one Ig like V domain. It participates in cell adhesion through trans affinity heterophilic interactions and is a one-way type I membrane protein. Its related pathways include cell junction tissue and Sertoli Sertoli cell junction dynamics. An important homolog of this gene is NECTIN3.
